Read more +We begin by meeting with you to understand your vision of the overall project while considering the structural engineer’s role within the design team. This phase involves a review of pertinent drawings and sketches and relevant images. Afterward, we will present a formal proposal that outlines responsibilities.
At this stage, your project is on our design schedule and an engineer has been assigned to your project. We will conduct site visits to observe, take measurements, and map spaces as required, but prefer to be given all design parameters prior to the commencement of our design. This phase is all problem solving and engineering utilizing our design experience and expertise. We strive to be as efficient as possible during this phase to produce our preliminary design for your review.
This phase is critical. Usually, our preliminary design meets or exceeds your expectations. However, we recognize revisions and small changes are necessary to capture your project goals. We allow one owner review phase with the understanding the revisions are within our original scope of design services.
You have provided owner review comments to us and we have successfully incorporated them into our final design. The professional engineer responsible for your project has been actively engaged in the engineering process from conception to completion. The final design will be thoroughly vetted during our in-house quality control process. The final design is ready for submission in PDF format via electronic mail delivery.
